Sunday Swim Time!

Jack had fun hanging out in his pool in the backyard on Sunday afternoon. I wish the community pool was open on Sunday as it was really hot today...and I can't quite fit into Jack's pool!

Attached to the swaddle!

We still swaddle Jack at night...part of the babywise theory...and he loves it...it is part of his bedtime routine. Today, it was very hot here...over 100 degrees...and our swamp cooler does not to a good job keeping up with that kind of heat so it was still over 80 degrees in the house when I put him to bed. For obvious reasons, I decided against swaddling him tonight. He went down just fine...but when I went back to check on him...this is what I found........Jack sleeping with his swaddle. How cute is that! After I put him to bed he must have stood up and grabbed his swaddle which was hanging on the outside corner of the crib and layed back down with it. I wanted to laugh and cry all in the same moment. What a sweet sweet memory. I then swaddled my baby boy because now the house had cooled down and left him to sweet slumber. I just had to share...too cute to keep to myself.

Big News!

Jack's first tooth popped through the gum yesterday! You can feel it, but you still can't see it. Maybe Daddy will be able to see it by the time he comes home! So exciting. This explains our crazy sleeping habits lately. He is getting so big :)

Friday nights with Jack!

Jack and I were hanging out watchin tv when he start to laugh, and then I would laugh and he would laugh again...this went on for a couple minutes...and I decided to grab the camera because it was so cute. This is the second half of the laughs.

A video for the Jack gang...(Warning...it is 3 min long)

This video captures some of Jack's tricks. For those interested, it showcases him rolling out of his bouncer...he has been doing this for months. It also shows him standing up and spitting. It is hard to catch everything on a short video for posting. I have to learn to edit the videos...that is on my to do list!

Fun at the Park!

We went to the park today. Jack had so much fun. We also took the 3 neighbor kids, and we all had a great time. Jack loved swinging and crawling through the tubes of the play set! He is so big! He is always so happy. He has been teething pretty bad lately...but no toothers have popped through yet. We are enjoying Mommy and Jack time while Daddy is fishing with Tata! It has been a good week although I am ready for Friday and the weekend it brings with it! :)

Climbing and Crawlin Like Crazy!

Well at 8 1/2 months...we are finally transitioning to the next size...6-9 or 6-12 months! On the other hand, we have been learning new stuff every day and keeping Mommy really busy making sure that Jack doesn't hurt him self too bad or tear something important up. He loves paper and will rip it to shreads....He loves standing up and sitting down is now old news...it is a whole new perspective! My guess is that climbing is coming next prior to walking!

8 Months!

Jack is 8 months today! And he is a busy, busy boy. Getting in to everything....but so much fun. Learning new things everday. Above all...very very happy...smiling all the time:) He has been pulling himself up on things for a couple weeks, but in the last few days he is even starting to cruise. We are in trouble now. His favorite new thing is spitting...spitting food, spitting happy spits, spitting mad spits. He is really starting to babble a lot too, and his fav words are baba, papa and mama. Here are some cute shots of our happy jack. I can not believe it has been 8 months since he joined our family. He has blessed our lives in so many ways!

Mobile Jack loves BabyLegs!

BabyLegs are my new addiction on Ebay! They work wonders for new crawlers...and they make for cute pics too:)

Father's Day!!

We had a good Father's Day weekend. We just relaxed and hung out around the house. Jack is such a fun and happy boy! Check out this pic of Jack and his Daddy from the special day. Thanks to NaNa and PaPa Reist Jack was wearing his favorite onsie that says "Daddy's Tennis Buddy!" It is really cute! What a cute pair my boys make!
